our core values

the father

When the disciples asked Jesus to pray, His answer brings us close to a God who loves us and wants to be near us. Bringing us to the very heart of our Father. “In this manner, therefore, pray our Father” Matthew 6:9. Seeing God as Father transforms how we live, pray and serve our communities. Jesus knew the Father’s heart better than anyone, He took great delight in revealing it to the rest of the Father’s sons and daughters.

At Igniting Ireland, we want to see a people experience and be transformed by the Father’s heart for them. A transformed people will bring good news to the lost, hurting and fatherless world. As our Fathers children, let’s run into His arms and give others the opportunity to do the same by showing compassion to others. We want to see healing in our lives, families, our land and this world, as the Lord turns “The heart of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers”. Malachi 4:6

the cross

Fully God, Jesus chose to pay the ultimate price and became fully human in order to step into our shoes and take our punishment for us. Because of His death and resurrection we now have access to stand boldly before the throne as royal sons and daughters of the most High God, and we get to call Him Father. Jesus is also our perfect example of a life lived abandoned to God. We are called to live as His royal ambassadors, establishing the Kingdom of Heaven everywhere we go. And where His Kingdom reigns there will be no more sickness, death, bondage, shame or condemnation. We live in complete victory and lack absolutely nothing in Him. And all this is possible because of Jesus Christ’s perfect work on the cross.

John 3:16 “ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Titus 2:11-12 “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age”

the freedom

There is absolutely NOTHING more powerful than the precious blood of Jesus Christ. It serves as payment and proof of your new life and freedom. Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection set us free from ALL the powers of sin, death, sickness and darkness. No exceptions. Now a life of health is yours – spiritually, physically, mentally, economically and relationally. There is no part of your life that God doesn’t want to bless and prosper. And when we belong to Christ, we not only get to walk in this freedom every day, but we have the privilege of bringing others into this incredible reality of the good news as well.

John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; but I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

Ephesians 5:1 “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

the unity

Jesus prayed before He went to the cross that every believer would be one with Christ and one with each other (John 17 v 21-23). At Igniting Ireland, we believe the key to unity amongst the Body of Christ is experiencing the Glory of God that Jesus imparted to us. As one with God through faith in Christ, He shares His Glory with us, since we are not “another”, but have been made one with the triune God through the blood of Jesus.

Therefore, always directing people into oneness and communion with Christ. Our core value is to see Jesus in one another irrespective of denominations and opinions.  When brothers and sisters live together in unity Jesus commands a blessing, Psalm 133. We want to see the Island of Ireland, both North and South, transformed for Jesus. We believe a body working and operating together in unification is the key to the Glory of God being revealed, in this nation and other nations across the world.

John 17 v 21-22 “that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.”

the bible

We believe the Bible to be absolute truth. It is therefore the source for all our doctrine and the primary means by which we learn the truth about God and discern His will for our lives. In a world where so many opinions exist the Bible, which is the Word of God, gives us an unshakable foundation to stand on.

The Word of God is also the revelation of Jesus Christ. So when we meditate on scripture we are planting seeds of truth in our hearts, which will bring forth a harvest of righteousness as Christ is revealed. But we also need the help of the Holy Spirit to interpret scripture. The Word is spirit (John 6:63) and therefore it cannot be interpreted by the natural man or our intellect; it is revealed by the Holy Spirit.

So we realise that we cannot have the Word without the Spirit, or the Spirit without the Word, they come as one; spirit and truth.  As Jesus says in John 4 when He meets the woman at the well, “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.

2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
